Al Duchnowski was born and raised in Ladysmith, WI. From the age of 5 he learned the art of “hard work” with growing up doing chores on his family farm. Since childhood he has been known as “Duke” because his last name was too long and hard to pronounce. For 12 years he worked for the Soo Line Railroad as he helped raise his three sons with his wife, Annette. When the railroad merged with Milwaukee Road his position was eliminated and he was forced to find another career quickly. A friend suggested that he try the insurance industry. He thought he was crazy! He started out as a sales rep for a major life company. After two years he was promoted to branch manager of two locations and remained in that position for seven years before deciding he was no longer “fully functional”. After doing some research on other options in the insurance industry he started his own agency in Hudson as a captive producer for a major property and casualty company. Finding that he was not able to service his customers the way he wanted, he moved onto opening the Hudson Insurance Agency in 1999. To this day he is very pleased with what he is able to do for his customers and has a wonderful staff that he has passed on his art of “hard work” to. Twenty Four years later and he is still in this crazy business!
Al is a current member of the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers at the Hudson High School driver’s education program and also the junior achievement program. In his spare time he loves to hunt, fish, and remodel his home.
Nicole Zimmer is a native of Inman, SC and has been a resident of Hudson since 2003. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in Marketing. After meeting her, we will let you decide what the B.S. stands for. With over 10 years experience in the insurance industry, she brings not only a southern accent but also a dedication to excellent customer service. She is our official Personal Lines Agent but dabbles in commercial lines every now and then just to keep things interesting.
In her spare time she enjoys running, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two children. Forever the jokester, Nicole can be seen around the office pulling practical jokes and coming up with creative ways to get into trouble. As they say, “You can take the girl out of the south, but you can’t take the south out of the girl.”
Jayne Bahneman is a native of Detroit, MI and true “Motor City” girl at heart. “Go Red Wings!” She grew up in Hudson and now currently lives in New Richmond with her husband and three children. Even though being a wife and a mom is a full time job she does like to get to the office and help customers with their insurance needs every now and then. With over 10 years of insurance experience she works very hard to keep our customers happy. She is our Life Agent, licensed customer service representative, and office administrator.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, playing cards, and reading books. Though watching football and hockey is a must in her house!
Amber Rykal is our small town girl from Wilson, Wisconsin that travels to the big city of Hudson every day to work as a licensed Customer Service Representative. She is Nicole’s “right hand” when it comes to taking care of our personal lines clients and works very hard to keep all of our customers happy. Her youthful spunk came to good use when she took on our Social Networking sites. Although her big smile is inviting, don’t let it fool you … she’s a Chicago Bears fan!
In her spare time she enjoys camping, snowmobiling, and doing yard work. The more time outside the better! She also runs quite a bit even though it’s not always her favorite thing but figures she has to keep it up with all the great food Al’s wife makes for us!
Lisa Luedtke was born and raised in the small town of Springfield, Minnesota and moved to Hudson over 20 years ago. She was a stay at home mom of three for many of those years but decided to take a pay raise by becoming a licensed Customer Service Representative for our agency in 2008. Lisa is our “gatekeeper” of the office and will be the first friendly face you see when you visit. Nothing gets past her- remember she raised three kids!
In her spare time she likes to camp, walk/run, hang out with her family and watch Minnesota Vikings football (please don’t hold that against her – someone’s got to pull for them).
